Moyer’s Chicks delivered their first hatch of several hundred chicks in a January snowstorm in 1947. Seventy years later they are still hatching chicks, at a clip of over 16 million chicks hatched per year. In recent years there has been an increase of customers coming from the sustainable agriculture movement who are providing consumers with poultry products from free-ranging, naturally grown poultry.
